About Us – The Service Party (TSP) – Since 2020
The Service Party (TSP) was fully registered on June 5th, 2020 with a bold and simple conviction: that politics must serve people. Founded on the belief that leadership anchored in service can transform communities, TSP has steadily grown into a more confident, visible and dynamic political party.
In our first General Election in 2022, TSP made a remarkable debut. We fielded 260candidates ac ross 31 counties, finishing 13th out of more than 80 participating political parties—a testament to our appeal and organizational strength. We secured representation with 2 elected Members of Parliament, 6 elected MCAs, and 4 nominated MCAs serving in Laikipia, Tharaka Nithi, Embu, Isiolo, and Kirinyaga counties.
As we mark five years of active operation, we celebrate not only electoral milestones, but the lessons that are shaping our future. We have learned that:
- Compliance with Kenya’s political and legal framework demands significant resources, and sustainability must be built into party structures.
- Depth beats breadth—genuine grassroots roots matter more than superficial expansion.
- A memorable political identity requires focus: owning a few meaningful issues that can influence national policy and improve lives.
Guided by these lessons, TSP is entering a new chapter. Our growth strategy prioritizes grassroots visibility, county-facing party organs, empowered
volunteers, online ambassadors, and engaged ordinary members. We are strengthening local ownership of the party while building a national presence through research credibility, issue clarity, and digital organizing that taps into Kenya’s vibrant, youth-driven digital ecosystem. We believe this model will enable national expansion without unsustainable costs.
As we transition into this identity of strategic depth and sharpened purpose, we call upon our members, supporters, and partners to walk with us. Together, we will shape a party that stands out for service, integrity, and thoughtful leadership in Kenya’s evolving democracy.
At TSP, we remain committed to our rallying call:
Be Wise – Jiunge Nasi.
#TSPTwajiamini.
